Proud of this cheese, the village has been celebrating the Vacherin Mont-d&#8217;Or festival every year for a quarter of a century, at the end of September, when the herds return from their summering.<\/p><p>More than 6,000 participants usually gather for this convivial day, the folkloric and gourmet event of the year in the Vall\u00e9e de Joux. Members of the Vacherin Mont-d&#8217;Or communitiy, craftsmen and companies from the region present their activities and let you discover their specialties from 9 a.m. onwards. And the cheesemakers will be offering free tastings of their new products!
